RTD4EDC
The “RTD4EDC” project aims at developing recommendations for EC RTD&D policy to increase the share of renewables in Emerging and Developing Countries (EDC’s) with European technologies. This will be based on policy assessments, stakeholders opinions and analyses of best practises.

The RTD4EDC project is financed under the 6th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission.

Preliminary results RTD4EDC presented at WREC, Glasgow, 22-23 July 2008

The preliminary results of the RTD4EDC project were presented during the European Workshop: ‘Success factors for International Cooperation on Research, Technology Development and Demonstration in the area of Renewable Energy’. This workshop was organised by the European Commission (DG Research) at the World Renewable Energy Congress X and Exhibition 2008. The presentation of the results of the RTD4EDC can be found here.

The meeting has been an inspiring event that has led to various new insights that will be taken into account in the final results of the RTD4EDC project. During the closing session, general conclusions were brought together by all speakers, participants and chairs, on ‘how to make it happen’. The recommendations formulated during the session are as follows.
